We're currently putting our 2020/21 school programme together and will announce speakers shortly but in the meantime, here's who joined us for the 2019/20 school year!

Luke Hellebronth

Luke helps to lead Worship Central with Tim Hughes and is based at St. Luke’s Gas Street Church in Birmingham. He has written many songs including 'Spirit Break Out', 'Ready for You' and 'Stand Up’. Luke is married to Anna.

Scott Cunningham

Scott is a worship leader and songwriter from California. He currently serves as an Assistant Pastor and Worship Leader at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa and also directs the Calvary Chapel School of Worship.

Sarah Yardley

Sarah Yardley is a Californian based in Cornwall who loves Jesus, family, friendships, coffee, travel, and guacamole. She grew up at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, served at Reality Carpinteria, and currently lives in the United Kingdom, serving full-time with Creation Fest UK and Tubestation in Polzeath. She loves discovering what it means to follow Jesus and inviting others to know and follow Him.

Harvey Appleton

Harvey is a sound engineer working in the events industry in the UK, who has a big passion for encouraging and equipping the church in technology and production. He’s worked alongside Soul Survivor, Hillsong, Matt Redman, Tim Hughes, Rend Collective, Guvna B and many other worship leaders across the years. Harvey is married to Jess, loves travelling, drinking tea, playing squash, and automating his house with electronics, everything from the coffee machine to the hedgehog house… which his wife loves...

Jon Hudson

Jon is the Director of the South West School of Worship, serves as the Worship & Creative Pastor at St Matthias Plymouth and is part of the Worship Central UK team overseeing the South West hub. He is passionate about seeing people encounter God and the local Church set on fire with worship. Jon is married to Rachel and loves sport, penguins, mexican food, earl grey and his cat called Bea!

Claire Worth

Claire originally hails from Cornwall and is the Head of Human Resources at GOD TV. She studied Vocals at Nexus Music Academy, has a Degree in Psychology & Counselling and a Masters in Human Resource Management. Claire has been leading worship for over 20 years and has a real passion to inspire and encourage others in their walk with Jesus and abandoned worship. Claire is married to Paul and they have a son called Finlay. She loves the beach, earl grey, her family and pursuing all that God has created for her to be for His Kingdom and Glory! Claire is the Associate Director of the South West School of Worship. 

Josiah Gillespie

Josiah serves with the pastoral team of Grace Community Church near Looe in southeast Cornwall. He’s passionate to see local churches encountering, enjoying, and representing Jesus Christ in ever-increasing fullness. He’s also particularly excited about how deeper theology can lead Jesus’ followers into whole-hearted worship. Josiah shares life with his wife Sarah, and two noisy boys. In his down time you’ll find him playing guitar or digging in his little vegetable garden.

Paul Worth

Originally from Stoke-on-Trent, Paul has been drumming for over 20 years. He studied at Nexus Music Academy and has since been involved with various bands, worship teams and worship training.
Paul currently lives in Plymouth with his wife Claire Worth and son Finlay. He is the UK Project Manager for GODTV and Head of Drums at St Matthias Plymouth. He loves bodyboarding with his son, is partial to a north staffs oatcake and loves a big fat snare sound! Paul is passionate about inspiring and equipping musicians in their gifting, building effective teams and seeing the church released through worship. 

Esther Cole

Esther is a singer/songwriter based in Plymouth. She loves nothing more than seeing people changed and brought to life when they encounter Jesus through worship and she’s a part of the worship team at St Matthias Plymouth. When she isn’t singing she loves to explore the great outdoors that the beautiful South West has to offer (mostly because she gets to meet loads of dogs...she really loves dogs!) or trying to perfect her baking skills usually by drinking a lot of earl grey in the process!

Amy Symons

Amy is a worship leader from North Devon. She serves as the Worship Coordinator & heads up the youth worship at her local church. Her passion is to serve & equip the church, to see breakthrough, transformation and to bring glory to His name through worship. She has a real heart to see young people released into their gifting of worship and bring a youth revival across this nation! She is married to Paul, loves to write songs, do bible journaling & loves a good box set!

Lara Moore

Born and raised in Cornwall, Lara has been singing in church bands since she was 13. She studied vocals at Nexus Academy of Music Ministry before training to be a Children’s nurse and moving to Manchester where her and Jamie served together on worship teams for 13 years. Lara then went on to lead worship and oversee the vocal department in their Manchester church before relocating back to Cornwall in 2017. Her and Jamie now lead the worship ministry together at their home church. She is passionate about raising future leaders of worship. Lara loves being with her family, being at the beach and eating cream teas.

Jamie Moore

Jamie is passionate about Jesus and seeing powerful life changing worship in the local church. Jamie studied electric guitar and worship ministry for two years at Nexus Academy of Music Ministry. He went on to play in a band for 5 years gaining a range of live and studio experience. He has been leading worship for over 20 years and for the last few years, served as Musical Director in their Manchester church. He now lives in Mevagissey with his wife, Lara, and his two children and leads the worship ministry with Lara at their home church in St Austell. By day he works as a Marketing Manager and loves football, F1 and all things guitar.

Rebekah King

Rebekah is an administration whizz and HR professional, working alongside Claire at GOD TV. Having been born in Plymouth, she has a heart for the South West and a desire to see the region reached and transformed by the power of God’s love. She worships at St Matthias Plymouth, serves on various teams there and has a passion for encouraging and empowering young women to find their worth and identity in Christ. Bex loves going to the gym, catching up with friends over food and growing in her relationship with Jesus.
